With Palm Time Attendance (Preferred)
For Teacher, Staff and Student: Use Palm Time Attendance Device to record Attendance using Palm. Multiple devices can be placed at various locations in the school to facilitate recording of Attendance from different locations. Please contact sales@smartid.my to purchase the Palm Time Attendance Device.
Without Palm Time Attendance
For Teachers and Staff only: Use smartid MOBILE App on your Mobile Phone to record On-Site Attendance, Away Attendance. For Student: Class Teacher will use smartid MOBILE App to take Student Class Roll.
How To Register:
- On the Main Website (www.smartid.my), Select the Menu Register and Select EDUTIME to Register your School and Super Admin.
- Search for your School or Create a New School if it’s not in the existing School Database.
- Check your Email and Confirm
- Go to edutime.smartid.my and Sign-In with your Email and Password.
- Go to User Management and Add Users (Teachers, Staff, Student and Parents).
- Super Admin can assign Admin Role to Teachers and Staff to allow them to help register (+Add) other Users.
- Inform registered Teachers, Staff and Parents to download the smartid MOBILE App at Play Store or App Store and complete the Registration.

Without Palm Time Attendance
Use smartid MOBILE App on your Mobile Phone to record On-Site or Off-Site (Away) Attendance. The system is equipped with Geo-Location and customizable Geo-Fencing features to record where the Attendance is taken.
How To Register:
- On the Main Website (www.smartid.my), Select the Menu Register and Select TIME to Register your Organization and Super Admin.
- Enter a Unique Organization Name. If there is more than One Branch, you may use Name + Branch. For example: Pointgate Properties (KL), Pointgate Properties (Penang).
- Check your Email and Confirm
- Go to time.smartid.my and Login with your Email and Password.
- Go to User Management and Add New Users.
- Super Admin can assign Admin Role to selected personnel to allow them to help register (+Add) other Users.
- Inform Personnel to download the smartid MOBILE App at Play Store or App Store and complete the Registration.
Note:The smartid MOBILE App can be used to monitor their Children's Attendance in School which is registered on smartid EDUTIME. The App can also be used to Update Children's Medical/Emergency Leave and Manage smartid Payments for the Cafeteria. It can also be used for Organization Leave Management.

Getting Started
smartid POS can be implemented in 3 ways. Contact sales@smartid.my to purchase the right smartid POS for your business.
1. For Schools
Purchase the smartid POS + Palm Scanner (Preferred POS Device: SID TM51-T or SID A100-T + Palm Scanner: SID TM-PLS-P)
With the Palm Scanner, Students can make Cafeteria Payment by just waving their Palm. No Cash, No ID Card, No Fingerprint, No Facial Recognition and No Mobile Devices required.
Many Cafeterias are still ignorant that RFID Payment Cards can be easily cloned and thus, it should not be considered at all. Fingerprint Recognition is simply Unhygienic while Facial Recognition cannot resolve the differentiation of Twins. So, to implement Cashless Payment in Schools, the best solution is to use Palm Payment Technology.
2. For Restaurants, Café, Food Truck, Takeaways, Clubs, Retail Stores
Purchase the smartid POS only (Preferred POS Device: SID TM51-T or SID A100-T). No Palm Device is required unless you want to implement Customer Palm Payment. Merchant can use their existing Merchant Payment Device or QR Payment to facilitate Customer Payment.
Add Kitchen Printer (Preferred: SID PR-80) if you need to integrate Kitchen Operations.
3. For Retail Operations
Purchase the smartid POS + Barcode Scanner (Preferred POS Device: SID TM51-T or SID A100-T) + Barcode Scanner: SID 2D-WS (Handheld) or SID 2D-OS (Omni)
Add Palm Scanner: SID TM-PLS-P if you want to implement Customer Palm Payment.
On Boarding (Schools POS)
On Notebook/Desktop:
- Connect Palm Scanner (SID TM-PLS-P) to the POS Device
- Go to pos.smartid.my
- Create your Merchant Super Admin Account.
- Register Super Admin Email.
- Verify Email
- Login as Super Admin and Register Palm (Mandatory)
- Via User Management Menu, Super Admin can register Staff with Admin Role. Super Admin or Admin can register other Staff accordingly.
- Setup Staff Roles, Sale Items (Item Category, Description, Price, etc.) and Settings (Currency, Tax, etc)
On the POS Device:
- Connect Palm Scanner (SID TM-PLS-P) to the POS Device
- For Retail Operation, connect the Barcode Scanner via USB or WIFI.
- Launch smartid POS App.
- Login using Palm
- Register POS Device: Enter the School Code. This will link the POS Device with the School Database on the Cloud Server. Merchant Account Information and School Database will be synchronized between the POS Device and the Cloud Server.
- The Palm Scanner is only used for User Palm Payment.
- Staff will use the smartid Mobile App to Clock-In or Clock-Out their attendance.
On Boarding (Business POS)
On Notebook/Desktop:
- Connect Palm Scanner SID TM-PLS-P to the POS Device
- Go to pos.smartid.my
- Create your Merchant Super Admin Account.
- Register Super Admin Email.
- Verify Email
- Login as Super Admin
- Via the User Management Menu, Super Admin can register Staff with Admin Role. Super Admin or Admin can register other Staff accordingly.
- Setup Staff Roles, Sales Items (Item Category, Description, Price, etc.) and Settings (Currency, Tax, etc)
On the POS Device:
- Launch smartid POS App. For Retail Operation, connect the Barcode Scanner via USB or WIFI.
- Login with your Email and Password.
- Register your POS Device: Enter a Unique Business Name. This will link the POS Device with the Cloud Server. Merchant Account Data will be synchronized between the Merchant Device and the Cloud Server for Backup.
- Staff will use the smartid Mobile App to Clock-In or Clock-Out their attendance.
- For POS Payment, Merchant should already have their own registered Payment System provided by their Bank for accepting e-Wallet, Debit/Credit Card)
- If the Merchant purchases the POS with a Palm Scanner, Palm Payment can be used as a Payment Option

Getting Started
- Download and Install smartid MOBILE App from Play Store or App Store

Ensure that you Register with the Mobile Number that you will be using for Attendance / POS, whichever is applicable. Once registered, you will see the various Menus that are applicable to you.
Check with your School, Organization or Businesses if they have registered your credentials in the smartid portal. If your credentials have been registered with your mobile number, you can get access to the features provided on the smartid MOBILE App.
As a Parent, you can see the Attendance of your Children and Payments for Cafeteria.
As a Teacher & Staff, you can take Off-Site Attendance, Monitor your Attendance, Take Class Roll, Make QR Code Payment in the School Cafeteria.
As an Employee, you may take Off-Site Attendance, Monitor your Attendance, Report Sick, Submit Leave Application.
As a Waiter/Waitress, you can Take Attendance, Check Table Availability, Manage Customer Orders.
